Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) played the game of ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998 at Minsk Belarus. She has won 12 WTA titles in her career. This includes her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Her doubles game is excellent, and she won Majors in her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), each of them with Elise Mertens. The year she was born, she won both the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing what is known as the Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples from women's doubles to pull off. On 23 August 2021 she was ranked second on the list of world singles rankings her best ranking reached again in the month of January in 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push her way to the top in February of the same year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in the sport of doubles. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of the 2019 season and from 2018 to the close of the season. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since 2020. Her top idols are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
